Earlier this month we were proud to bring together Matchroom Boxing and the West Ham United Foundation to deliver a community sports session in East London, connecting Matchroom fighters with young people through a shared focus on opportunity, wellbeing and positive change.

Ahead of fight night at the Copper Box Arena, boxers George Liddard, Jimmy Sains and Connor Mitchell, all big West Ham fans, stepped away from their preparations to support the session, alongside West Ham goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and Club Ambassador Anton Ferdinand.

Hosted at The Foundry, the activity was delivered in collaboration with West Ham United Foundation, Box-Up Crime and Beyond Food Foundation, highlighting the role sport can play in tackling key social issues affecting young people across East London.

The activity delivered over 25 pieces of earned media coverage across publications including the Sun, IFL, Voice Online and local regional media. This also included coverage across West Ham's social channels and website, reaching a combined potential audience of 40+million.
